Operations and Supply Chain Management Research Group
Description:
The group has been working on several topics from the sustainable development perspective, analyzing organizations needs and constraints and their logistics chain to measure economic, environmental and social impact indicators (sustainable logistics). This in order to optimize the efficiency and reduce the cost overrun companies have, when they do not posse adequate decision-making tools. This group deals with strategic, tactical and operative decisions for the transport of products to the markets, production logistics and optimization of production processes of manufactured goods or services, applying both mathematical and heuristic optimization models, and formal research methods in deterministic and stochastic contexts.
