About us
Universidad de La Sabana is a non-profit private institution of higher education founded in Colombia on September 1979. Its extensive campus (65 hectares) is located in the town of Chía, which is located 20 minutes from the capital. La Universidad de La Sabana is part of a small group of institutions of higher education in Colombia with High Quality Institutional Accreditation.
One of the strengths of the University is the Personalized Orientation model offered to the students as an integrated feducation strategy. La Sabana has a strong scholarship program that awards more than 2,800 scholarships to undergraduate students annually. The University is also nationally recognized for its leadership in International Education. It actively participates in several networks to promote the internationalization of higher education in Colombia.
The University has over 168 agreements with 141 institutions in 32 countries. It has a well-established and recognized Spanish program, with more than 700 international students enrolled in the last five years. La Sabana also offers short summer and winter courses that offer students the opportunity to learn about Latin American culture in one of the most diverse countries in the region.
La Sabana's Business School, INALDE has trained more than 4,000 executives in the country. Its MBA is notable for being accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA). INALDE's Senior Management Program (PADE) is addressed to owners and presidents of national and international companies.
La Sabana's teaching hospital provides integrated health care and contributes to the education of students in the area of health with research and teaching activities. The hospital is renowned in the region for its specialized services in rehabilitation offered to people with physical disabilities. The rehabilitation center has the CARF international accreditation.
