Specialization in Gastroenterology

The Specialization in Gastroenterology of Universidad de La Sabana offers continuity in the training of internists and general surgeons, providing high-quality knowledge and promoting the active development of research focusing on diseases of the digestive system.

The program is designed to face physicians with new academic and research challenges, offering multiple national and international environments for the acquisition of the essential theoretical and practical knowledge for their training. This way, the student can expand their knowledge of pathologies related to Gastroenterology, know the most sensitive and specific diagnostic tools available nowadays, and have access to the most advanced bibliographic, systematic and technological elements to deal with clinical problems, in accordance with medical practices worldwide. Throughout the training, emphasis will be placed on the use of the most appropriate technical resources for the early detection and treatment of pathologies, such as gastric, colon and rectal cancer, also promoting prevention programs and timely management of these diseases in the community.
